Bandicoot Announces 2019 Youth Media Awards

Bandicoot was lucky enough to attend the announcement of the 2019 Youth Media Awards at the American Library Association conference in Seattle on January 28th.  The award-winning books are available at the Westgate School Library or the public library. Here are the some of the awards that were announced.
Dreamers won the a Pura Belpre Award
for illustration
Merci Suarez Changes Gears
 won the Newbery Medal
Hello Lighthouse won the
Caldecott Award
The Stuff of Stars won the Coretta Scott
King Illustrator Award
